"Whenwe opened three years ago we concentrated on getting the two buildings (Echo Arena and BT Convention Centre) up and running," said ACC Liverpool chief executive Bob Prattey.
"Now, with the , an event organiser will have one point of contact if planning to utilise all three venues for an event, instead of three different general managers."
Prattey said that the changes are not due to low profits at the venue, which made a small profit before tax of £104,000 on a turnover of £13m by year two, and doubled this profit by year three.
Phil Picket will step into the role of project director, exhibition and event facilities, concentrating on the delivery of the new exhibition halls opening in 2014, and Tim Banfield is now commercial director, in charge of income generated events at all three venues.
The new role of operations director is yet to be filled, with the chosen person’s duties to include harnessing all outsourced partnerships at the venues from security to cleaning.
Current BT Convention Centre general manager Jacquie Rogers decided not to apply for any of the new roles, using the opportunity to leave the venue after five years to pursue other projects.
"Since we opened, ACC Liverpool has increased economic spend in the area dramatically to approximately £400m," added Prattey.
