ACC Liverpool attracts major sporting events expected to bring in £8million to the city

Echo Arena Liverpool, part of ACC Liverpool, has announced a set of sporting events expected to have a 拢8million economic benefit to the city in 2010.

The first major sporting event will be the Great Britain Standard Life Euro Basket qualifying game with Great Britain taking on Bosnia and Herzegovina on 26 August.

The World Netball Series will take place from 19 -21 November and the Four Nations Handball Tournament will take place from 23 – 25 September.

"The Echo Arena continues to pull in sporting events and is proving to make a positive significant impact on the local economy," said Echo Arena Liverpool sports and events account manager John Moore.

Echo Arena Liverpool has a capacity of 11,000.
