TubePro iPhone application helps London commuters exit quickly

LONDON - Internet entrepreneur John Harrison has launched an Apple iPhone application called TubePro which tells commuters exactly what Tube carriage stops opposite the exit at all London Underground stations.

Commuters can make a speedy exit by downloading the app for £1.19 from Apple's app store.

Users can access the information they require for their journey with four taps of their phone -- one to select the tube line, one for the direction of travel, another for the destination station and lastly for the platform exit they want.

will then tell them which carriage to stand in to be opposite the exit of their choice.

Users don't need Wi-Fi or a GPS connection, the required data is built in.

TubePro is officially licensed by Transport for London for its bespoke tube and national rail map information.

The application is a rival to , which launched last month. The 'Tube Exits' iPhone app, developed by Australian-born Wimbledon resident Lance Stewart, costs £1.79.
