Nielsen Online appoints new Australia sales director

SYDNEY - Nielsen Online has appointed Matt Bruce as national sales director to manage growth of the Nielsen Online client base.

Bruce will be responsible for devising the structure, systems and processes throughout the sales team to support revenue growth.

Nielsen Online is the digital arm of the Nielsen Company and tracks online audiences along with web advertising, video and consumer-generated media. The service was previously marketed under the Nielsen//NetRatings and Nielsen BuzzMetrics brands.

Bruce joins Nielsen Online from home improvement website where he tripled revenues as general manager.

Megan Clarken, Pacific region managing director with Nielsen Online, said: "Matt comes to us with a strong sales acumen and has a proven track record of managing and developing a sales team.

Based in Sydney, Australia, Bruce's appointment is effective immediately. He will work alongside Clarken, who is also new to Nielsen Online, and director of industry solutions Stuart Pike, to complete the regional management team.

Clarlen added: "Considering his past online experience and achievements, we are confident that he will play a vital role in helping Nielsen Online steer and manage this period of growth, spurred on by increasing demand for our services."
