It is currently unclear what role Events Management UK played in the Events Management Group portfolio, although according to the Events Management Group website, the parent company has 20 full-time employees and some 2000 part-time employees.
Administrator Shipleys failed to respond to Event's calls, and was told by the company receptionist that the director, Stephen Legg, and his two sons Tom and Simon, who co-run the business, are unavailable for comment.
Events Management Group is made up of five individual companies – Management, Facilities, Security, Staff and Galore – providing services for outdoor events.

Following some confusion surrounding the above article, Event Management Group Ltd managing director Jason Ludlow sent Event the following statement:
"The article published was factually correct in saying that Events Management Group subsidiary Events Management UK has gone into administration. However our company Event Management Group Ltd (there is no ‘s' in our company name), is nothing to do with this company and is financially strong. This article sparked immediate concern from our clients and suppliers as they did not notice the very subtle difference in company names."
