Lack of buyers sees Eventa Management go under

Liverpool-based agency Eventa Management has gone into liquidation after clients pulled work at the end of 2009.

Business recovery firm Duncan Sheard Glass was appointed on 2 October 2009. A spokesperson for the company told Event that hopes of finding are buyer are now gone.

She added: "A couple of Eventa's clients cancelled their work at the end of last year (2009). There are no buyers lined up for the company. This is it now."

Two redundancies were made as a result of the liquidation, although the number of staff the company previously operated with is unclear.

Eventa Mangement was responsible for the Royal Variety Performance afterparty when it was held in Liverpool in 2007.

More recently, as part of the it's presence at the Cannes International Film Festival in May 2009.
