Yell launches search marketing services for small businesses

LONDON - Yell has launched a product for small businesses called the Search Marketing Service in conjunction with search giant Google.

Yell's Search Marketing Service is aimed at SMEs, allowing them to take advantage of authorised Google AdWords reseller Yell to take on the responsibility of managing and purchasing Google AdWords on their behalf.

The Yell service creates online ads as part of an AdWords campaign which are displayed when consumers search on Google. They can then click on the ad to be connected to a web page created and hosted by Yell.

Yell's Search Marketing Service will be sold by Yell's 2,000-person strong sales force.

The Search Marketing Service for Google AdWords is the second product launch from Yell involving sale of ad inventory beyond Yell's own portfolio of Yellow Pages, Yell.com and 118 24 7.  Yell has already launched an ad network product, netReach, providing Yell advertisers with access to consumers across a network of UK sites.
