Yahoo! Europe appoints Frantz as chief finance officer

LONDON - Yahoo! Europe has appointed Emmanuel Frantz as vice-president and chief finance officer.

Frantz will be responsible for driving value creation across 's European business and he will be based in the new European headquarters in Switzerland.

Frantz joins Yahoo! from Kodak, where he had been lead finance director for EMEA since 2005. Prior to this, he worked for two years as vice-president of finance and operations for the EMEA division of CREO, the Canadian graphics company, subsequently acquired by Kodak, and for 11 years he undertook multiple international assignments in the finance department at Merck & Co. He started his career with Deloitte.

Frantz will succeed Brian Porritt, the current European CFO who will take up the new role of vice-president finance international with responsibility for all Yahoo!'s financial and decision-support functions in all regions outside the US.
