Yahoo! Europe has appointed Jon Gisby managing director of Yahoo! UK & Ireland and vice-president of media, Europe. Gisby has been the acting managing director of Yahoo! UK & Ireland since December. The new European responsibility means that Gisby will also head Yahoo!'s content and product innovation divisions. Before joining Yahoo! in 2004, Gisby worked as the managing director of Portals.
