A range of retail brands also joined in the Summer Streets campaign, with department store Liberty opening an ice cream van, menswear designer Hackett serving coffees from the back of a black cab and chocolate brand Godiva dishing out strawberries dipped in chocolate.
Summer drinks company Pimm’s transformed a branded double-decker bus into a bar, which was stationed on a pop-up garden complete with deckchairs for passers-by to relax in.
Entertainment was provided by performance group West End Kids, dance act Jive Aces and music from radio station Heart 106.2. The City Academy led dance classes, as well as organising a flash mob.
Annie Walker, director at the Regent Street Association, said: "We had another successful Sunday for Summer Streets. Hundreds of shoppers were tempted with culinary delights with food from around the world.
"The shops enjoyed a great days trading and we are all looking forward to next Sunday."
In partnership with the Mayor of London, Westminster City Council, The Crown Estate and the Regent Street Association, the Summer Streets campaign sees Regent Street pedestrianised each Sunday for the month of July.
Next Sunday (20 July) will see designer retail brands host in-store activities, while shoppers can receive a makeover and walk down an 100-metre catwalk. The V&A Museum will open a fashion pop-up in the Quadrant Arcade for a specially curated selection of fashion activities, and live music will be provided by Tiempo Libre, The Notables and Fabulous Lounge Swinders.
The final week of the campaign will celebrate Magnum’s 25th birthday with a series of experiential events.
