The Street Eats concept will give event bookers the opportunity to have their own night market on the Cathedral’s crypt floor, from this September until March 2015.
At the industry event, which was attended by representatives from Borough Market, Tamesis Dual, E2E Events, Aviation Media and Essdocs, guests were able to see Harbour & Jones Events’ street food stalls first hand in the venue’s Wren Suite.
Stalls served a variety of street food treats including Korean yum bun - steamed buns filled with a choice of sticky ginger and chilli salmon – as well as slow roast Gloucester Old Spot pork belly with spices and kimchi.
Other fare on offer included sliders such as home cut beef burgers with stilton and caramelised onion, and burnt mackerel and caviar tartare.
Chefs carved Cumbrian air-dried ham from the bone for guests while they tucked into a selection of English cheeses, chutneys and freshly made breads.
Throughout the evening guests were kept entertained by live band Phoebe Gorry Trio, which performed upbeat twists on classic funk and pop.
In the Beehive room guests were able to experience Christmas early, with pudding dishes served from St Paul’s Christmas menu including Christmas pudding set cream with burnt sugar and brandy sauce bubbles, apple tart fine with Calvados ice cream and Caramelia chocolate with textures of clementine.
Suppliers to the event included Lavender Green, Event Concept, Ash Productions and Velvet Living.
