is a computer-generated 3D duplicate of the British capital, with shops in exactly the same location as they would be in real life.
It allows shoppers to discover products online in the same way that they would when exploring a real store.
Stephen Cooper, head of marketing and events at John Lewis in Oxford Street, said: "For those of us who work at John Lewis it's much more than a business.
"It's almost like a family and a lot of our customers feel they're a part of that too."
"NearLondon brings the real West End experience to a worldwide audience and it allows us to give virtual visitors a taste of what we think makes John Lewis special.
"That's why we're excited that they'll be able to enjoy our refurbished flagship Oxford Street store in NearLondon's amazing interactive 3D."
NearGlobal, the company behind NearLondon, will be announcing full details of the partnership on September 3.
Alex Wrottesley, founder of NearGlobal, said: "Having a legendary retail institution like John Lewis joining us is a great endorsement of NearLondon's ability to deliver a great experience."
Near Global is also partnering with the New West End Company to promote the West End VIP scheme to users of the virtual world.
West End VIP is a membership programme that offers regular shoppers and visitors a range of benefits at participating shops, hotels, bars and restaurants.
Members of West End VIP will automatically receive membership of NearLondon and will be able to access exclusive content and members-only events.
