The deal will see Sodexo’s Scottish division provide catering at all events within the Grade A listed building for the next three years.

The venue is capable of hosting a variety of events from dinners and concerts to exhibitions and product launches for up to 3,000 guests.

As part of the agreement, Sodexo will support the venue’s sales and marketing activities and promote it to the corporate and private markets.

Amanda Wrathall, the venue’s sales and marketing manager said the partnership will strengthen the reputation of the Corn Exchange as an "innovative and receptive" business.

"Through challenging economic times, we continue to grow by making strategic partnerships that improve the service and standards we can offer to our clients, whilst remaining competitive," she said.

Austin Tilsley, Sodexo Prestige Scotland’s regional director, added: "We have worked at the venue for a number of years and we look forward to assisting the Corn Exchange team to further develop their business and position this superb venue as one of the leading event venues not just in Edinburgh, but in Scotland."
