If approved, Sodexo will provide catering services across the entire St Edmundsbury Collection portfolio, including The Apex, The Athenaeum, Abbey Gardens and Moyse’s Hall Museum.

Sara Mildmay-White, cabinet member for culture and sport, said: "We have undertaken a thorough process to find a partner to help us to develop the catering and hospitality potential of our popular town centre venues. I am delighted that Sodexo Prestige share our ambitions and that the agreement will benefit council tax payer and customers alike."

Richard Wheeler, account director at Sodexo Prestige, added: "Central to being awarded this contract was our ability to illustrate local knowledge, culinary flare, environmental credentials and commercial approach. We are delighted to be working with a forward thinking, environmentally responsible client in St Edmundsbury Borough Council."
