Bebo mobile users will be able to easily view photos, send and receive messages, post comments and search profiles through Intercasting's Anthem platform.

Anthem is a service connecting mobile carriers with social networking sites and entertainment companies.

Ziv Navoth, vice-president of business development and marketing at Bebo, said: "Bebo users increasingly want to be able to connect on the go. This partnership will extend Bebo's mobile offering and benefit our members by giving them access to the site anytime, anywhere.

"We are constantly looking for ways to enhance our users experience and increasing our mobile offering will create a greater platform for self-expression for Bebo users."

Intercasting also works with mobile operators including 3 UK, Virgin Mobile, Boost Mobile and Sprint.

Sean Kane, international general manager of Intercasting, said: "Serving Bebo as its mobile platform enabler is a great opportunity for Anthem. We are confident that Anthem will provide a compelling mobile social networking experience for both the carriers and their subscribers."

The deal follows yesterday's agreement between Bebo and T-mobile in the UK, where Bebo already has an existing partnership with Orange. In Ireland, Bebo is currently partnered with O2.
