Under the terms of the deal, comedy show Everybody Loves Chris will be broadcast via Piczo. A weekly show will go out, split into five four-minute sections, before the full show is available to download or stream from Friday afternoons.
Made-for-web shows such as YouTube's Lonely Girl 15 and Bebo's Kate Modern have proved hugely successful, generating significant ad revenues on the back of relatively minor content investments.
The latest show is based on Lil Chris, a teenager who Piczo has dubbed the voice of the Piczo generation. He travels around London reviewing multimedia gadgets and interviewing artistes - in line with the show's culture theme.
The made-for-web content will feature the main character communicating with Piczo users through additional short videos and content, including music and concert reviews.
He will also interact by prompting Piczo users to videos, images and questions to the Piczo homepage and to enter competitions. The reach of the show will extend across RCA's online properties and will be promoted through email, mobile and online campaigns.
