The gigs, hosted across the UK Xfm network by a number of its lead presenters, including Alex Zane, Julyan Sinclair, Clint Boon and newly joined Xfm South Wales presenters and ex-Goldie Looking Chain members Eggsy and Rhys, will take place in Glasgow, Cardiff, London and Manchester on consecutive days from December 9 to the 12th.
Among the acts slated to feature during the four-date Xfm Winter Wonderland series, which has been created to raise money for Shelter's work during the festive season, include Bloc Party, Supergrass, The Charlatans, The Enemy and Kate Nash, with more set to be announced in the next month.
Xfm said it would also be running a competition for the Glasgow, Manchester and London dates, inviting local acts to become openers for the gigs. The winners of the Xfm Rock School competition will be chosen via a month-long search across the London, Manchester and Glasgow Xfm networks.
The full line-up for the gigs are: Bloc Party, Supergrass, Kate Nash and One Night Only at Brixton Academy on December 9; Stereophonics, The Twang and Figure 5 at Glasgow Academy on December 10; The Charlatans, The Courteeners and The Ting Tings at Manchester Apollo on December 11; and Super Furry Animals, The Enemy and Kids In Glass Houses at Cardiff University on December 12.
Xfm said last year's event helped raise thousands of pounds for Shelter's work to house homeless people across the UK, with all proceeds going to the charity.
Nick Davidson, managing director of the Xfm Network, said: "The Xfm team have once again come up with a stellar line-up, many of which are still to be announced and our listeners will be in for a festive treat whether they're at the gig or listening to the radio in the comfort of their own home."
Tickets for the event, which cost £25 for London and £20 for all other dates, go on sale November 9 via the Xfm Winter Wonderland and through the station's telephone Xfm Xchange.
