The one-minute film, by Publicis, is available online at www.renaultvans.co.uk, and will air on UK TV later this year to promote the launch of its latest van range, New Master.

Entitled ‘The Milkman', the ad plays on the long-term reliability of Renault vans by showing a vehicle from the early 1900s driving around modern Paris. The milkman driver arrives at a garage and asks a confused mechanic to take a look at his van. The ad ends with the strapline, ‘Renault Vans. Dependable since 1901'.

Renault senior vice-president for global marketing, Stephen Norman, recently said that the marque would look to combat the financial downturn by positioning itself more overtly as a mass-market car manufacturer.
