O2 targets gig-goers with digital experiential activity at Academy venues

LONDON - O2 is to remind gig-goers attending shows at the recently rebranded Academy venues just who the sponsor is, with the installation of Snapbooth screens.

Snapbooth is an updated version of the photobooth, but instead of printing out a series of four snapshots, it sends them digitally to a digital screen photo wall. The photo wall displays the images on rotation, along with the O2 Academy logo.

Snapbooth is the creation of , which specialises in experiential technology. It will be installed at 10 of the O2 Academy venues across the UK.

As well as putting the pictures on show at the venue, the photos are sent directly to the participants' phones and uploaded on to the venue's Facebook group. There is no charge for the service.

Jasmine Skee, music sponsorship manager at O2 UK, said: "O2 is synonymous with music and will continue to adopt innovative technology that allows customers to form online communities and share their experiences."
