The is designed to connect James to his supporters and show how Nokia technology is helping Cracknell, who set off from Dover this morning, and his team blog about and navigate his 1,434-mile journey.
Nokia's N-series is being used to feed real-time updates of Cracknell's progress to the website. Visitors to the site can choose to receive these updates via text, and can also text a message of support, which will scroll across a ticker on the site.
Ashley Bolser Agency, which created the site, anticipates it will get up to 800,000 visitors to the site during the challenge.
Ashley Bolser, director of ABA, said: "This is a major development for the agency -- one of the UK's biggest traffic websites and organising technology to handle direct one-to-one communications. It is great to work for a great organisation like Nokia and do our bit for Sport Relief 2008."
ABA, founded in 2001 by Bolser, has produced direct response marketing campaigns for blue chip and national names such as Asda, Budget Insurance, Callcredit and Barker & Stonehouse.
