Everyclick launches online fundraising site for charities

LONDON - Search engine Everyclick is launching a website which offers UK charities access to a range of online fundraising services to address the low uptake of online giving.

It aims to provide a one-stop resource for collecting online donations, powering supporters' sponsorship pages and running online appeals.

said the site will prove particularly beneficial for smaller charities which have not been able to fundraise online.

Only 41% of charities with a turnover of less than £1m have the facilities to collect online donations, according to data from NfP Synergy.

The new services are in addition to Everyclick's charity search engine, which automatically donates 50% of its revenue to charity and has raised nearly £500,000 since it launched in 2005.

Polly Gowers, founder of Everyclick, said: "Currently just 2% of the UK's £8bn donated to charity is given online. Think of how this compares to how many of us buy a holiday or bank online.

"With a small percentage of the UK public giving online, Everyclick is pioneering the way for all charities to benefit from the web."

Everyclick's users can search the web, shop online, make a donation and create a sponsorship page to raise funds for any charity they wish.

Its aim is to power a "virtual collection tin" on as many websites, blogs and social network pages as possible and to see online giving become as popular as online shopping.

Everyclick's new services can be integrated in any third-party website via the Everyclick Widget as well as being available through its website.
