MySpace names Barry Flanigan as UK marketing director

LONDON - MySpace has appointed Barry Flanigan, formerly marketing director at the Telegraph Media Group, as its director of marketing and audience development for the UK and Ireland.

His remit includes external media campaigns, audience development, community marketing and online PR, content partnerships and management of external media and creative agencies.

Flanigan left the Telegraph Media Group in October 2008 when it scrapped the roles of marketing director and general manager of digital, held by Flanigan and Mike Moore respectively, as part of a restructure of its marketing and digital departments.

Controversial behavioural targeting company Phorm appointed Moore as its global commercial director.
