Modem Media vice-president defects to Wunderman

LONDON - Wunderman has poached Modem Media's vice-president Greg Lee, who will join the WPP-owned agency as client services director on the Ford UK account.

Lee will work alongside creative director Nigel Edginton-Vigus on the Ford of Britain accounts. He will report to Sarah Atkins, head of the agency's automotive business.

Lee leaves his role as vice-president of Modem Media, having joined the digital marketing agency in 2003. He worked on a variety of motor brands at the agency, including Opel, Vauxhall, Chevrolet and Hummer.

He has racked up more than ten years experience in the automotive industry. Prior to Modem Media he was an account director at Mediator Communications working on its Honda account. Before that he was at TBWA\GGT Direct, now part of Tequila, where he led relationship marketing programmes for Vauxhall. He was also at Manifesto, now Chemistry Communication, where he helped launch the Volkswagen Golf Mk iV.

Atkins said: "Greg's experience of leading both a UK and European account team will be of real value to our working relationship with Ford and his knowledge of both offline and digital media will undoubtedly enhance our existing skills in these areas."

Edginton-Vigus added: "I've worked with Greg before and know what a hugely talented bloke he is. I'm delighted that he's chosen to join us at such an exciting point in the agency's development and he'll no doubt help drive our plans forward with even greater momentum."
