The London 2012 organiser announced 74 locations, beginning at Land’s End and eventually taking a sweep of London boroughs before the opening ceremony begins.
A celebratory event is to be staged on 66 of the 70 days the torch is touring. These events, details of which are yet to be finalised, will take place in the early evening after around 12 hours of traveling.
Each celebration event will differ with "locally programmed content" on a main stage.
UK Channel Islands will also be visited and Locog is undertaking a feasibility study to see if the flame can also be taken to Dublin.
