Last night (13 February) a Channel 4 Dispatches programme broadcast former employees of Locog’s official ticket resellers Thomas Cook and Jet Set Sports stating that use of the temporary Games Lanes was available as part of their hospitality packages.

Former Jet Set Sports employee Richard Relton and Thomas Cook employee Pete Moore claimed that their packages included access to

Locog told Event these claims were untrue and that it has requested one employee be removed from working on Olympic packages.

A Locog spokesperson said: "We have spoken to Thomas Cook and Jet Set Sports. Both have confirmed they are not able to sell access to the Olympic Lanes. Richard Relton is no longer an employee of Jet Set Sports. Based on the misinformation we saw on the programme, we have asked Thomas Cook to ensure that Pete Moore will have no further involvement in the selling of London 2012 ticket packages."

The spokesperson added: "We are very clear that if any of our authorised ticket resellers are claiming that they can sell access to the lanes, we will immediately take appropriate action."

Thomas Cook’s ‘Games Break’ packages offer guaranteed Olympic tickets or Paralympic tickets with accommodation in or around London.

The Jet Set Sports website says of its Olympic hospitality packages: "Created and refined in the real time environment of the Olympic Games, Jet Set Sports’ hospitality programs are designed to cater to the corporate executive and meet all of your business objectives."

The Games Lanes will affect 2.5% of London's roads with measures like changes to traffic signal timing. They aim to ensure that the Olympics run smoothly and athletes can reach venues on time, which has been problematic in previous Olympics.
