The Prince's Trust-supported festival, featuring artists such as Estelle, Craig David and Blak Twang, is being held on April 16 at London's Earl's Court and will include a live broadcast on Kiss 100.
In the run-up to the event, Kiss 100 has been broadcasting a series of Nokia-sponsored 'Smooth Grooves' shows with a US special featuring Lil John and Xzibit to run tonight, April 14, in the 9-11pm slot.
Kiss 100 has also taken part in an SMS campaign to send Nokia Urban Music Festival announcements and breaking news to more than 40,000 listeners, with the opportunity of winning prizes in a text-back competition.
A Kiss will feature galleries of pictures from the event, the chance to text or email in any questions for the stars of the show, while Nokia is offering users the chance to download ringtones and wallpapers on a featured .
Simon Lloyd, head of marketing for Nokia, said: "The Nokia Urban Music Festival looks set to be a fantastic event and Kiss 100's on-air coverage, plus the online and mobile promotion activity, will bring the event to a much wider audience."
The festival, which is run in association with the Prince's Trust, will also feature the Nokia Urban Marketplace, with businesses from urban clothing to music marketing and a number of Prince's Trust-supported businesses.
The event is being held to support young people in getting into work, with information on taking part in workshops that include breakdancing, MC-ing, beat boxing, music production and DJ skills as well as an artist advice workshop.
