Nokia and Wallpaper create style site for mobile users

LONDON - Nokia has teamed up with IPC Media's style magazine Wallpaper to create a fashion and design focused mobile phone site.

Called Wallpaper to Go, the site is part of Nokia's promotion of its "fashion collector" 7260, 7270 and 7280 range of phones, which include GPRS high-speed connection.

Heikka Norta, Nokia's senior vice-president of marketing, said: "The Nokia and Wallpaper cooperation is an ideal marriage. We believe Wallpaper to Go will appeal to style conscious Nokia mobile phone owners who like to keep an eye on the catwalks of London and Paris, the furniture shows in Milan, or ideas for that once in a lifetime trip to the Seychelles."

The site is being made available to all Nokia users without subscription costs and can be accessed by entering "mobile.wallpaper.com" in the browser.

The site also offers wallpaper and screensavers to users.

Wallpaper Group executive publisher Andrew Black added: "As two global brands with a strong heritage in design, appealing to a sophisticated dual audience, there is a perfect synergy for us to work so closely together."
