John Lewis names Figleaves' Terrell as head of direct

LONDON - Retailer John Lewis has appointed Figleaves' Robin Terrell as managing director of its John Lewis Direct division.

Terrell has an impressive pedigree when it comes to online retailing, having been chief operations officer at lingerie retailer for the , and managing director of for four years before that.

At , he will be responsible for all aspects of its online business, and report to commercial director Phil Hullah.

He joins the company on April 14, taking over from Robert McCarthy, who is leaving to start his own business.

Hullah said that Terrell would "bring a wealth of first-class on-line experience and he is very passionate about the huge opportunity John Lewis have in on-line selling and multi-channel retailing".
