LONDON - 'Have I Got News For You' on BBC One outshone 'The Bill' and the football on Five last night with 5.5 million viewers, according to unofficial overnight figures.

The second episode in the series of 'Have I Got News For You' on BBC1 took a 22.1% share of viewing between 9pm and 10pm.

Five's coverage of the Liverpool vs Benfica European tie averaged 3.6 million viewers in the same time slot.

Concluding a two-part special, 'The Bill: Great Responsibilities' achieved an audience of 3.5 million for ITV1, a 14% audience share.

Documentary 'How The Other Half Lives' on Channel 4 matched 'Golf: The Masters 2010' on BBC Two, each earning 1.8 million viewers. The simultaneous broadcast of the golf on BBC HD earned 130,000 viewers, a 0.6% share.
