Tottenham v Fulham wins Wednesday night's ratings war

LONDON - The Tottenham against Fulham replay in the FA Cup quarter finals brought ITV1 the biggest audience during the primetime 9pm to 10pm slot last night, according to unofficial overnight figures.

An average of 4.1 million viewers watched the game and its aftermath between 9pm and 10pm (a 17.7% share of the audience) and an average of 4.3 million tuned in over the entire programme which ran from 7.30pm to 10pm, an 18.7% share.

BBC One had the second highest ratings between 9pm and 10pm. An average of 3.2 million viewers watched 'Chocolate - the Bitter Truth', an expose on the chocolate industry, which was a 13.9% share of the available audience.

Five was the third most watched channel between 9pm and 10pm. American cop drama 'NCIS' was watched by 2.1 million viewers, a 9.2% share of the audience.

The final episode of BBC Two's 'Inside John Lewis' was just behind Five as the fourth most watched programme in the slot with 2.1 million viewers. The show, which followed John Lewis boss Andy Street, had a 9.2% share of the available audience.

Channel 4's 'Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares USA' was watched by an average of two million viewers. The figure, which includes the contribution from Channel 4+1, accounted for 8.9% of the available audience.
