The 12 finalists were whittled down to five, who each had to complete a series of extensive challenges, tests and presentations at this year’s Confex.

Today also saw the winner of talent competition The Next Big Thing announced. Harpist Iona Thomas cinched the top prize – a contract with entertainment agency Sternberg Clarke.
Thomas beat free-style basketball entertainer Andrew Wildings to win the contest.
