The application process will now close on Friday 25 January, giving final year event management students more time to put their videos together.

Run by Event and ESP Recruitment, the Apprentice-style competition is designed to bring the next generation of talent into the event industry.

Once again, two jobs are up for grabs this year – one with global experiential agency George P Johnson and the other with leading AV supplier Blitz.

The competition will see contestants invited to London from 19-21 March during International Confex at Excel. They will be asked to present their ideas and take part in a number of challenging event management tasks created by teambuilding firm Bluehat which will be marked by a team of industry experts.

Last year's winners, Peter Hunt and Abi Cozens, won jobs at George P Johnson and Tarsus respectively after impressing judges.

How to enter The Eventice

To take part in The Eventice, which is free for all final year event management students, all you have to do is send us a copy of your CV including your name, email address and daytime telephone number, a profile picture and a two-minute video answering the four questions below to theeventice@haymarket.com.

Candidates also need to provide the name of the course they are taking, graduation date and the name of the university they are completing the course at.

Entries will be posted on The Eventice channel in a graduation gallery, which will be seen by the industry and could lead to further work experience or actual work offers.

Questions to answer on video are:

What famous person in the world, dead or alive, do you most admire and why?

What is the best event you have ever been to and why?

What event experience have you gained at University?

Why do you think you should win The Eventice?

This competition is hotting up, so when filming your video, try and be as inventive as possible. Deadline for entering the competition is Friday 25 January 2013.
