Looking for a job?

Experience: Intern or freelance at agencies during the holidays, attend seminars, network at events and visit agencies.

Team: Work at events/activations to learn from others.

Knowledge is king: Learn anything, from basic events knowledge to marcoms terminology and processes.

Looking to hire?

Internal training: May give you the best return. Although time consuming, it can deliver greater results.

Graduate programme: This is a useful way in which to help interns become full-time employees.

Hire an apprentice: Give them on-the-job training specific to your needs.

Internal growth programmes: The key to any organisation is to ensure those starting out can see a longer-term growth scheme in place.

Job specifications: Time spent at the front end will pay dividends by ensuring the right candidate is placed.
