Farming-and-dairy brand Yeo Valley had room to spare at its offices in the Mendip Hills in Somerset, so, after a major refurbishment in 2012, opened two event spaces.
The first, Yeo Valley HQ, has six meeting rooms, from the cosy Fisherman's Friend space for six guests to a lecture theatre for 120. A short distance away is the Yeo Valley Garden Room, which can cater for up to 50 people and has a terrace to take in the views over Blagdon Lake. Wi-fi is free, AV equipment is available and organic, locally sourced food is prepared by Yeo Valley chefs in the Fodder restaurant.
The venue's events clients have included Jamie Oliver's Fifteen restaurant, the Soil Association and communications agency Bray Leino.
Yeo Valley also uses the space for its own events, which are carefully selected to hit a target objective and to ensure that this meets the brand's core values - such as family, British, fun and 'doing the right thing'.
Events have included a performance of the play One Man and His Cow by a local theatre company.
In 2015, Yeo Valley will launch 'Moo, Chew and Poo', a tour of its farm, six-acre organic garden and restaurant. It will also repeat its 'Catch and Cook' days, where visitors can fish on the lake, followed by a cookery lesson and dinner in the restaurant.
