The Sir Trevor MacDonald-fronted documentary series pulled in 3.7m viewers, slightly down on last week's 3.8m, giving ITV1 a 16.7% share of viewing.
BBC One managed an audience of 2.6m and a share of 11.9% for the last in its 'The Truth About Crime' series. Last week the show attracted 2.8m viewers.
There will be no let-up on the crime front next week, as BBC One is to screen 'Crimewatch on the Streets', a behind the scenes documentary following Strathclyde's Domestic Abuse Task Force, and 'Car Crime UK' has three more weeks to run.
Also on 2.6m viewers last night was 'CSI: Miami', giving Five an 11.7% share.
Channel 4 put 'Big Brother' into the 9pm-10pm slot rather than the 10pm-11pm slot, and got 2.1m viewers and a 9.6% share. Another 330,000 watched on Channel 4+1.
BBC Two was bottom of the pile with 2m viewers and a 9% share for the third of six parts of pre-Raphaelite artists drama 'Desperate Romantics'.
