Watts is leaving the popular venue after four years to work in business development for caterer Company of Cooks.
Her new role, which will see her work for the caterer at a number of the capital's most popular venues, parks and gardens, will begin in July this year.
Some of the highlights from her time at the Natural History Museum include hosting the BOA Olympic Ball; the launch of the Darwin Centre; winning an Event Award and hosting the FC Barcelona Champions League celebration.
Talking to Event about why she decided to leave she said: "We’ve worked hard over the last few years to develop our events business despite the recession and we’ve come through in a very strong position, and we have a fantastic team.
"2011/12 was a great year and 2012/13 is looking even better so for me, so the timing was right to take on new challenges knowing that I’m leaving a robust business behind."
She also told Event that she is going to miss her team, the venue's accredited suppliers, and of course the venue.
