
Guests drank rhubarb bellinis and tasted a bounty of spring produce, including hot smoked salmon, pea and broad bean salad with minted mayonnaise; shaved celeriac, radish, pecorino, pomegranate and truffle oil; cannon of lamb, crushed herb breadcrumbs, creamed spring vegetables and rhubarb and champagne jelly with rose cream.
Another highlight of the evening was the creation of a floor to ceiling art installation by Creative Connection’s artists, with illustrations and captions depicting the 150 guests and their comments on the event.
DJ Bikini Wax played an eclectic set, and the Sonia Sabri Company provided a traditional Kathak style dancer.
Áine McElwee of Clearcut Projects said: "On a very cold March evening, Company of Cooks definitely brought spring to the Southbank. Delicious canapés, bowl food, rhubarb bellinis and a going home treat of macaroons – we were thoroughly spoiled."
