
The numbers of companies have more than tripled in the last six years, according to this year’s Tech Track 100, the annual league table of Britain’s fastest-growing private tech businesses.
By comparison, the 2008 table had just six companies working in the ad-servicing sector.
Switch Concepts, a Southampton-based ad software development business sits at number two on the new list, having seen a 262 per cent rise in annual sales over three years.
Other strong performers include MobileWebAdz, a mobile ad software provider, which recorded a142 per cent rise over the same period, despite dropping one place on the league table to sixth. Video ad platform, Unruly, which compiles ±±¾©Èü³µpk10’s Viral Chart, enters the table at 14 with a 117 per cent rise in sales.
The top 25 also includes Skimlinks a marketing tech development business at 17, Somo, mobile marketing services provider at 19, The Exchange Lab, digital ad services provider at 21, and digital marketing agency, Potato, at 25.
An interesting new entry to the top ten is Hide My Ass!, the secure virtual private network service, which encrypts user’s online activity and has more than 215,000 subscribers. LMAX Exchange, an online brokerage business, tops the list.
The league table, now in its 14th year, is researched and compiled by Fast Track and is sponsored by Hiscox, Barclays, BDO and Business Growth Fund.
