Virgin Media to expand services through Carphone Warehouse

LONDON - Virgin Media is to expand its range of services sold through high street retailer Carphone Warehouse to include broadband and digital TV in addition to mobile.

The deal means additional Virgin Media products will be available through 783 Carphone Warehouse stores across the UK from today, including an onsite broadband and digital service area for the media giant's product range, which it has described as a "one-stop-shop" for its products.

Virgin Media said the UK rollout would build on its existing retail relationship with Carphone Warehouse, and increase the brand's presence, which includes Virgin Megastore, on UK high streets.

Neil Berkett, acting chief executive officer of Virgin Media, said: "We're building on an already successful relationship and using our mobile retail expertise to expand our presence on the high street.

"By extending our portfolio in store and making it simple and easy for customers to sign up, we're hoping Virgin Media will be at the top of shopping lists across the UK."
