UKTV rebrands Food Channel as Good Food

Good Food will launch on 22 June alongside a supporting website which uses the same branding.

The strap-line for the channel is ‘We have fun with food'. Good Food is targeting an audience of cookery enthusiasts aged 25-44.

Programmes on the channel will include Optomen's Market Kitchen, Cactus TV's Rachel Allen: Bake!, IWC's James Martin's Brittany, plus Ace of Cakes, Dinner Impossible and Oliver's Twist.

This is the first channel UKTV has re-branded using an existing brand. It started a rebrand of all of its channels last year. It's first re-launch was Dave 18 months ago.

The BBC says it has had a close relationship with UKTV in recent years. It hopes to build brand awareness for its Good Food magazine through the tie-up.
