GCap's radio stations will be the only ones in the country to run promotional activity for the film, which is out in cinemas on Friday. The campaign runs across Capital 95.8, which is the official radio partner for the film, as well as Xfm, Classic FM and One Network's local stations.
The Capital 95.8 promotion includes participation in Simpsons-related stunts, including an attempt to build the tallest doughnut tower in the world.
In a first, Johnny Vaughan's breakfast show will devote the regular segment "Welshie calling" to incorporate the cartoon family.
Welshie, a Vaughan sidekick famous for his prank calls, will telephone people living in towns called Springfield, with the aim of keeping them on the line for as long as possible. Listeners can participate in a competition to guess how long the recipient will stay on the line, with the chance to win Simpsons-related holidays.
Other activity will include interviews with 'The Simpsons' creator Matt Groening, running on the breakfast show and road blocking the Capital Radio on the day of the premier and the day of the official release.
Charlie Clapham, head of media partnerships at Twentieth Century Fox said: "I have really enjoyed how excited GCap have been with 'The Simpsons'. They have incorporated all their media platforms, including great on-air mechanics, fantastic online presence plus a great and very out-of-the-ordinary doughnut Guinness world record attempt."
The deal was brokered by GCap Media's Krissie Ford and Katie Feder.
