The company is supporting Save the Children’s attempt to break the world record for a gathering of people wearing Christmas jumpers. The event takes place tomorrow at 8am in Westfield London.
The current record is 639 people and the assembled group will also take part in a dance especially choreographed by Arlene Phillips, known best from her role as former judge on BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing.
Friday’s record attempt is the culmination of Save the Children’s winter campaign which included a ten-day pop-up, Woolly Wonderland at Westfield Stratford City. The pop-up was launched by Save the Children ambassadors Samantha Cameron and Myleene Klass and has included storytelling with celebrities such as Dom Jolly and Mary Portas, a John Lewis customisation station where jumpers can be decorated and knitting workshops.
The day has also been highlighted through Save the Children’s Christmas concert series, a designer jumper auction and a social media campaign. So far, 1.6 million people have signed up to wear a Christmas jumper tomorrow and donate £1 to the charity.
Chris Russel, director at Tribe, said the agency was pleased to be able to support the campaign which is in its second year.
"It’s great to be part of a world record, it’s fantastic that we can support Save the Children, and it’s also nice to see the commitment and team spirit that our brand warriors have," he said. "Last year we all donned our Christmas jumpers in the office, but this time we thought we could do even more to get into the Christmas spirit and support a good cause."
