FlashForward returns on Five but BBC and ITV1 lead ratings

LONDON - BBC One and ITV1 shared the spoils last night, each topping four million viewers, while the reappearance of 'FlashForward' brought two million for Five, according to unofficial overnight figures.

ITV1's penultimate helping of romantic comedy drama 'Married Single Other' drew four million viewers and a 15.9% share of the audience in the 9pm-10pm slot.

It was just beaten by detective series 'New Tricks', which delivered a 4.3 million audience to BBC One, grabbing the channel a 17.1% share.

Channel 4 offering 'The Secret Millionaire' notched up 2.8 million viewers and an 11% share including the contribution of Channel 4+1.

'FlashForward', the Joseph Fiennes US import continued its run after a three-month break, with two million viewers welcoming it back.

The channel's 7.8% share was bigger than BBC Two, which drew 1.6 million viewers with the last in its 'Band For Britain' series.
