Tesco Wine Fairs will this year take place in London, Bristol, Manchester, Edinburgh, and Birmingham.
"Our mission is to take the excitement and energy behind the Tesco wine range to as many potential customers as possible," says Chris Mitchell, director of Cube Communications, which organises Tesco Wine Fairs.
"We've added the NEC to our series of events since it allows us to do just that, reaching a key socio-geographic group of wine-loving and wine-curious consumers using a professional venue with excellent facilities and links."
The consumer exhibition includes the chance to talk to wine experts, while specialist workshops take place throughout each event.
Wine Walks will also be on offer, ensuring visitors have the opportunity to ask questions as experts lead small groups through the variety of wine stands.
Chris Hartley, business development director at NEC, said: "This is great news for the NEC. As part of our offering, we did some research to support Tesco’s decision to relocate. We found out that 4.5m wine lovers live within a two-hour drive of the NEC, which highlights the significant potential for growth for this event."
The wine fairs will take place on:
7-8 September at Manchester Central
21-22 September at NEC, Birmingham
5-6 October at Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, London
12-13 October at Brunel's Old Station, Bristol
26-27 October at EICC, Edinburgh
