The activity will focus on customer acquisition through the creation of a new website and online content strategy for the brand, which provides businesses with 'software as a service' email and data online management technology.

Jim Boulton, deputy managing director at Story Worldwide, said: "Story are re-engineering Mimecast's online experience, so that it reflects Mimecast's position at the cutting-edge of cloud computing."

Story's ‘customer narrative' of Mimecast's platform will be tied in to social networking and will be compatible on portable devices to join content from different sources together. Boulton defined the project as "a content programme, not just a website".

Eric Odell, vice-president of marketing, North America, at Mimecast, said: "The solution that we are developing with Story is based on context relevant bespoke content, engaging potential customers on a more personal level and reducing costs of acquisition."

Story has previously created campaigns for UPS, SEKO Synergy, Siemens Mobile and Software AG.
