More than 70 guests attended the event that saw the award for outstanding investigative journalism, given in memory of the late journalist Tony Bevins, go to Clare Sambrook for her End Child Detention Now campaign.

Seventeen Events decorated the event space with framed photos of Tony Bevins and his articles, and speeches were made by MP Bob Marshall Andrews, journalist Andrew Marr and chief executive of Quintessentially Soho at The House of St Barnabas Sandra Schembri.

Absolute Taste provided canapés, including Parmesan shortbread circles topped with buffalo mozzarella, home-cured gravadlax with sour cream and baby pumpkin risotto cakes topped with a sage sour cream.
