British icon Stephen Fry has joined Quintessentially founder Ben Elliot in campaigning to save charitable members bar the House of St Barnabas from closure.

The pop-up venue, located on the corner of Greek Street, currently donates its profit to funding the venues' life skills centre, which helps homeless people find work.

Elliot, who has taken over the charities' day-to-day running, and Fry, a member of the bar, want the project to become a permanent fixture, however, Westminster Council could close the space if the books are not balanced.

The project has so far raised £300,000, but its future is hanging in the balance.
