Rebranded Comedy Central hires Barracuda to maximise search

LONDON - Comedy Central, the Viacom-owned television station, has appointed Barracuda Digital to manage its search marketing strategy.

The appointment was made after a competitive pitch and comes as Comedy Central is relaunched -- previously it was known as Paramount Comedy.

The rebrand brings it inline with the US where the cable station is already known as Comedy Central.

Claudia Sestini-Samuels, head of brand marketing and online at Comedy Central, said: "Barracuda Digital understands the importance of maximising online presence through natural search.

"We chose to work with them as the agency possesses a very detailed and robust understanding of natural search and paid search and have a history of delivering great results."

Barracuda Digital's clients include City and Guilds, London Stock Exchange, IPC Media, UKTV and Virgin Media.
