Primesight's Clarkson picks up second award

Nigel Clarkson, sales director at outdoor media owner Primesight, has beat peers from Lloyds Banking Group and Marriott Hotels to a national sales award less than a week after picking up Primesight's first Media Week Award.

Last Thursday for a campaign for discount international mobile operator Vectone Mobile at the Media Week Awards at the Grosvenor House Hotel.

Clarkson returned to the Grosvenor last night for the National Sales Awards, an event which seeks to reward individuals and teams who demonstrate best practice and achievement in all aspects of sales.

He won National Sales Director of the Year, which is open to sales directors in any size of company and who are judged on their ability to build successful teams and their leadership and direction, both in successful times and periods of adversity.

Clarkson beat Barto Du Plessis of Color Matrix, Nick Govier of Lloyds Banking Group, Lisa Jones of Marriott Hotels, Dave Phelps of Office Depot and Ben Smart of Mondial Assistance.

The judges said Clarkson stood out through his ability to lead his team in producing extremely impressive results in a recession and through a period of extensive change.

The National Sales Awards were attended by more than 800 sales professionals.

In November last year following the . Clarkson leads a 60-strong team which sells across the portfolio, including large and small format roadside and the Glasgow subway.
