Pigsback turns Piggy points into restaurant vouchers

LONDON – Pigsback is joining forces with Whitbread's Leisure Vouchers to offer consumers the chance of cashing in on their Piggy points for vouchers to selected restaurants.

The deal will give customers the chance to redeem their loyalty points at business such as Pizza Hut, Beefeater, Cafe Rouge, Marriott Hotels and TGI Friday. One Piggy point is worth 1p and rewards start at 395 Piggy points.

The campaign will launch with emails and brand-specific pages for the businesses involved in the scheme to drive Pigsback members to the new voucher section.

Jo Malvern, marketing director of Pigsback, said the aim of the incentive is to encourage member loyalty and repeated visits.

"Turning loyalty points into tangible, attractive rewards motivates consumers to return to the site, participate in offers and competitions and most importantly, interact and purchase from our partner brands," Malvern said.

Whitbread Leisure Vouchers has been looking for new ways to increase sales to its main target outlets.

Whitbread Leisure Vouchers' key account manager Darren Ziff said: "By tapping into Pigsback's valuable online community we are able to direct a high volume of loyal and targeted consumers to our brands to generate increasing revenues."

Once Pigsback members redeem their gift voucher, they may also be entitled to a Leisure Voucher's added-value promotional booklet for offers, such as buy one meal get another free.
